Lesley Curtis became inspired by photography after moving to her husband’s native Philadelphia in 2012. As a photographer, she finds inspiration in color, texture, shape, and especially momentary smiles between people.

Lesley is a North Carolina native who holds a doctorate in literature from Duke University, where she studied the history of abolitionist movements in the Caribbean. Today she works as a writer, editor, and consultant in Philadelphia, where she founded the communications company Sagely.
